MEDICATION ASSISTED TREATMENT
MEDICATION ASSISTED TREATMENT
At HealthFirst, we work to heal the whole person by providing comprehensive medication management, behavioral healthcare, counseling, and patient support. We always put our patients first, which means you can expect compassionate, professional, and respectful treatment at all times.
Our recovery services are available to HealthFirst primary care patients. If you are not a HealthFirst patient, one of our team members can help you become one!
WHAT IS MATRS?
Medication Assisted Treatment & Recovery Services (MATRS) uses a combination of medication and behavioral therapies for the treatment of substance use disorders. The MAT program at HealthFirst utilizes Suboxone, Sublocade, or Vivitrol to assist patients seeking recovery from substance use disorder.
While medication is effective, it is only one part of our treatment program for substance use disorders. Participants in our MAT program also participate in counseling with a Licensed Drug and Alcohol Counselor and/or a behavioral health specialist to learn effective long-term coping strategies.
Our integrated clinical model allows patients to have access to our MAT clinical team, which includes a medical provider, a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor, a behavioral health provider, and a Certified Recovery Support Worker. This interdisciplinary team approach works to support all patients to determine the appropriate level of care for them.
