The work done at FQHCs is so important and beneficial to our patients and communities. It is very rewarding, and you make a difference in patients’ lives each and every day. It is a busy atmosphere within the various departments- medical, pediatrics, nursing, behavioral health, nutrition, quality, MAT, social work, and patient services. There are a variety of committees and project initiatives to engage employees and foster a sense of participation and involvement beyond the daily work duties. The organization is still small enough to personally know every employee and have the time to promote an open-door policy. After a short hiatus away, I was enthusiastic to come back to work at the health center that will always have a special place in my heart!

I joined HealthFirst 5 years ago as a patient service representative. From the beginning of my journey, it was clear that the Company is supportive of a work-life balance. I love working at HealthFirst for many reasons,… when you walk down the halls of our clinic, more likely than not, you can hear laughter coming from the exam rooms. Our clinical staff and providers know our patients personally and always greet them with smiles and exuberant conversation. The atmosphere at HealthFirst is warm, casual, and welcoming; this is not the case in larger medical facilities. I always recommend HealthFirst to people for these reasons and to those who are looking for whole-person care as we have Nutrition and Behavioral Services all under one roof.
