Stephanie Pierce worked as a Registered Nurse for over ten years at various elementary and middle schools, caring for over 2,000 students in her nursing career. She participated in writing individual student’s care plans, administered medications daily, trained and educated staff in first aid, and helped students manage their chronic health conditions. Stephanie also worked as a Medical-Surgical Nurse at an acute care hospital, treating and caring for acutely ill and palliative care patients. During her very successful career as a Registered Nurse, she decided to further her education and enrolled in the Family Nurse Practitioner Program at the University of New Hampshire. Her clinical rotations during the program included urgent care, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, pulmonology, and family practice. After graduating in 2015, she accepted a position as a Nurse Practitioner at HealthFirst Family Care Center, Inc. She uses evidence-based practice to assess, diagnose, and treat her panel of patients, while providing them with the knowledge and education necessary to effectively manage their own health.
